I used to create small hardware projects like making a kids' scooter with roller skates, a water pump with a 9V motor, and a small water lamp using syringes, etc. Mostly from YouTube tutorials and some of my original ideas.
But one day, I found a video on YouTube about making simple bots with computer automation. That’s when I was introduced to Arduinos, and it was a big shift in my way of thinking about creating things. I then bought an Arduino UNO (not a very easy process, you know, Asian parents).
From that point on, I started making automated bots. My first project was the same as everyone else's—a blinking LED project. I learned how to use sensors with Arduino, how to trigger actions when specific conditions were met, and I used various sensors (ultrasonic, IR, temperature, shock) and incorporated them.
Then, I slowly started building things that could perform mechanical movements with servos, but I couldn’t figure out what to do with the servo since it was very small. I couldn't use it to make an automated fan, for example.
I have the entire video, but I don’t feel comfortable sharing it. So, here is the image instead!
I stopped making these things because I (I can't remember why i stopped this, i'll update here if I remember It 😑), additionally, I was not able to fully understand the script which is used there, because i never did programming previously than this.
I will relearn this if I come up with an idea to make use of physical automation.
